Mia rubs over her arms and leans closer to the heating once it starts whiffing warm air over her dump clothes.
- "Matei...." She mutters after she listened quite contemplative, to all Drake had to say. It actually took a little while for her to say anything. "His name is Matei."
At the mention of that name, quite suddenly, Mia bursts out into tears once again. Maybe it was the sight of Matei's blood on Drake's hands, or she caught a glimpse of her own reflection at one of the rear view mirrors - her hair and clothes are also quite blood stained. The tears simply roll from her eyes. She's sobbing, her shoulders are shaking... And it all gets worse the more she tries to make it stop.
- "Oh god...!'' She sniffles as she exclaims, using both her hands to uselessly dry up her tears that just keep coming. ''I am sorry... Drake. I just... Cant stop crying!"
She takes some of Drake's handkerchiefs to clean herself up, shoving them on her pockets afterwards as she doesn't know where to appropriately dispose of them.
- "Well since we've stabilised all of that. And.... Well let's be honest. How rough you look and how together you've been keeping yourself through this... Nightmare! I'd actually never ever get in a car with you under any other circumstances... Have you been in Afghanistan or something...?
Mia shuts her mouth suddenly, realizing there's nothing more to go around the truth of the matter at hand. Drake deserved a explanation, and now she was just being rude. So she takes a deep breath, and says like she's telling a joke. Like she's mocking the words coming out her mouth:
- "The village was attacked by Werewolves."

When she burst in tears after mentioning the name Drake's hands tighten on the steering wheel quite a bit in anger. It was not her tears.. it was the name. Why the fuck she had to say it at loud? I didn't need to know his name... I didn't needed to know it!
As she keeps crying, Drake takes another deep breath... and turns the engine on, slowly driving the Mustang back on the road and forward. "Sorry.. It's ok.. just.. let it out.." He said to her when she started apologizing for crying. Maybe now finally he started to see that she is going through hell. Sometimes it is hard to remember that death and mauling is not something 'normal'. He just drove ahead, giving her the time to calm herself, without saying anything or looking at her. Well... until she mention his look..
"What?" He said in a whisper looking at himself for a second then at her then back at the road with a soft smile on his lips. "Yeah, Afghanistan or something.." He actually smirk at that but then turned to her and trying to look reassuring. "Don't worry. I will not hurt you. I will get you safely to wherever you need to go.. tho we may need to stop somewhere to change."
But at the next words that left her mouth, his heart skip a beat. He turned and stared at her for a longer moment before remembering he is driving a car. "Werewolves?" He repeated to make sure that is what he heard. Because if that was what she said.... there is simply so many wrong things about that sentence... and so many implications.

Mia would have nodded a little too much at Drake's reassuring words. They did help. Find somewhere to change, that was a good plan. But she really couldnt see anything after that...
So Drake gazed at her a way she didn't foresee at the mention of these, creatures of folklore that were most definitely killing people here. She knew it, yet there was always the possibility that she was, indeed, just crazy. Perhaps that'd be what she's hoping for. But he didn't laugh, there was no doubtful smirk on his lips... Drake was dead serious and it was freaking her out. - ''Yeah...'' She blinks her eyes at Drake, fear slowly crawling through her veins and making her heart skip a beat. She was scared to look away from him, into the darkness of the woods, where these beasts were lurking. ' '... I mean. There's no agreement about what was happening back in the suburbs. Only chaos. The people were blaming... Priolici, Strigoi, Capcaun, Wolves... Even Gypsies! Hell, they even got as far as considering to murder a elder woman on the village like she was a witch! You know, like in the medieval times?!''She exhales painfully and lets her exhausted body fall over the mustang's seat, feeling drained of her will. ''...First it was the cattle... Than, little children started missing... And now. Well, you saw...'' Her tone is low, less urgent. There isn't hope or light in it. ''All of this in... two weeks? Not even... Tonight it escalated. They knew something was comming, but couldn't prepare. Because how the hell you prepare for this?! And It was a slaughter. Like in, I don't know... Jurassic Park! Everyone who could fled in the panic... We were still being followed when we met you.''Mia shuts her eyes as the last terrible hours unfold, for the first time since, on her head. At flashes of awful things she shouldn't ever have to see. ''Or, hunted is a better word.'' And she turns to offer Drake a frighten, earnest stare. ''I saw them, Drake.''

Drake listened carefully to what she was saying. The way she described the other people blaming all this on random shit? That's where she should be standing as well... but she seemed to have much clearer idea of what she is talking about. Even if she is traumatized to bits, slowly being devoured by the reality of the situation there didn't seem that the Delirium has actually touched her. There seem to be no point to trying to stitch the veil back with this one...
The Walker seemed to be considering every single word that Mia was speaking. He instinctively looked to the side mirror.. and she can feel the car actually slowing down a bit. If she was right... and it was indeed Garou that were responsible, this was too sloppy. Ignoring the fact that genocide was not something their kind regularly do... those days at least. Was it a turf conquer? A random pack? BSD? Even the maddest of Dancers do know to not mess with the Veil. Letting a whole bunch of villagers escape? Maybe she was wrong, maybe the Delirium did worked just... in a bad way... or maybe she was indeed crazy. Sure. Ah huh.
He looked at her when she said she saw them. "You saw them." He repeated her words like that was a nail in the coffin. "Alright. Mia? I know this will not be easy. But I need you to describe them to me. Ok? Any detail. Every detail about the.. creatures you saw."

Mia faced Drake through the rear mirror and a silence happened. This was getting freakier by the moment... What sort of request was that? Who'd ask this kind of stuff? And why did he slow down?! If he believes on her story that are freaking werewolves outside! Did she just get into a Winchester's car?! 'They did have a sweet ride.' Drake would be able to tell by the way she holds her thoughts, that his request have made her wonder. She's tapping her fingers above her biceps like playing a piano, and once in a while briefly checking through the windows to see how fast is the blur of the trees moving past them.
- ''... Well, if there's Werewolves trying to eat us, better to be stuck with a Winchester.''
She throws that out of nowhere and glances towards the rear mirror to see if he's looking, having made up her mind about the subject solelly based on that idea.
- ''... But I don't know what you want me to say. Like what, their size, shape...? It was pretty dark and there was the storm.... Of course there was a storm.'' - She self-pitty chuckles at that, than starts nibbling on her thumbnail. - ''... They were not all the same.... Some were huge wolves. Others, were standing on their back legs like humans.''
Mia frowns, trying to see beyond the things the monsters were doing, so that she can answer to Drake the best way possible.
''-They were talking to each other I think. With howlings and growls.... Coordinating everything. They were inteligent, I remember to think that.... They didn't want anyone to escape, that's for sure. ''

Seeing Mia silently thinking things over for a longer time, Drake pinched the bridge of his nose and took a breath. He give up on waiting for her answer and starting on his own debating what he should do. Smart thing... just drive away, fuck this place, this is not your war, not your business. But could he ignore it? This was not right... those terrified eyes of that kid, he could still feel that stare on him. Then what? Turn around? He looked at Mia.. What he should do with her if so? He can't just drop her in the middle of the woods.. and did she said the next town is like 2 hours drive? Two hours there, two hours back... that would be plenty enough time for the Dancers to disappear. Damn it... Well, I guess it will be up to fate then.
Drake was indeed looking, in the same mirror at her in fact. And she can feel like.. he was more suspicious of her then the creatures she told him about. "A Winchester?" He asked when she threw that, but he shook his head like, he retracted that question. As she started to share the details as best she could Drake was sure she must of been some kind of Kin, or her will was so powerful she would end up being trouble in other way.. Like a Hunter or something.. Oh.. Winchester! Riiiiight! well, that's ironic... He actually snorted amused even if the reaction was hell of delayed.
"Well, they didn't do a good job then, did they..." He said without even realizing it he did it out loud. He finally, and carefully to not take his eyes from the road for more then a second at a time, did take out his phone, reviving it and turning on google maps before offering his phone to Mia. "Ok.. Can you plot a route? To the nearest place that will be safe for you? Then.. mark where the place you got attacked is."

- ''... A 'good job'.'' Mia actually narrows her eyes at that weird as fuck comment. She really couldn't put the finger on what was up with this guy, and althought her curiosity wanted her to push into that unknown territory, her self preservation was definitely the loudest one today. ''- Right....''
She takes the phone from Drake, searching first where the hell are they. She spends about two minutes quiet, engaged with the little screen, scrolling.. Before she handles it back. There's a random spot inside a green block on google maps that she marked.
''-There is the village, aproximately.... But I couldn't find a route to where we should go. I think I can get us there. We've been driving back and forward the last weeks...'' She leans at her seat to watch the road, but, now she was the one peering through the rearview mirror. ''- There will be a turn right in two miles.''
...A little asking wouldn't kill. Right? Besides, It should help with taking her mind out of nasty things:
''-... Where were you going, you know... before you were lost? ...Where are you from?''

"Thank you" Drake nodded slightly and took his phone back. The first thing to do, was making the map way smaller to show up the whole Europe then let a loud groan finally realizing where he was. But he wasn't too upset about it, he simply put the phone away and returned to his normal speed of driving as his mind was made. He watched the road, letting Mia guide him to their next destination.
"Me?" He looked at her for a moment as she asked her questions, like her asking them was something weird to him, but.. a small talk could fill the void and awkwardness of a long ride with a complete stranger. "Em.. U.S. West coast." He answered as closely but vaguely he could. "And I'm just passing by, heading home actually. How about you? You don't seem to be part of those people.. no offense."

Drake will find himself somewhere Sam probably knows at this point: In the middle of nowhere in fucking Romania. The road ahead of them remains unchanged, by the way. Like a corridor laying endlessly into darkness. Tall trees are framing left and right of it, all remains unchanged and it starts to feel a little claustrophobic. At least there isn't any rain anymore, only a few flashes are lighting momentanly beyond the black forest line, far ahead. There's not the sound of thunder, or any sound at all but the Mustang's smoothness.
- ''What gave it away?'' - Mia smiles at the comment about her, but she continues watching the path so she wouldn't miss the way. Last thing they need is if she becomes lost as well. ''...I was born in Finland, actually. But we moved to the U.S long ago.... Ohio. We were making a documentary here.''
She swallows dry as she mentions that. Like this was her whole world until just a day ago, and now nothing about that mattered. She tries to push the subject somewhere away from that confusing spot... - ''... Is a little bit of a drive back home, isn't it?''

"Meh." Drake actually shrugged at that, like the distance, the entire ocean it was indeed nothing for him. Cause.. technically, with the roads he is able to take? It was nothing. The unending road actually calmed the Walker down, his shoulders lost the tension. "A documentary? And.." He looked at her for a moment considering if it was wise to ask the question, when the answer could be a bad one. "We?"

Mia simply nods, in a way Drake can tell she's confirming all that his question implied.
- "Yes. We... Rita, Ahrmed, Lucas and Paul... My boyfriend." The way she speaks right now is almost, like she's become numb inside. And she spells out the words mechanically as her eyes remain stuck to the road. "... They were trying to pack all the material we've produced and... Stayed behind."

"I'm sorry." Drake said, and for the first time actually, genuinely meant it. He let a moment of silence linger in the cabin, but a thought have appeared and crawled in his mind. He hated to keep touching the subject, but he is simply not able to not ask and satisfy at least one.. one more theory. "What kind of documentary was that?" He bit his lower lip after the question left them.

"- We were making a documentary about folklore on these parts... Vampires, werewolves, ghouls, witches... It was supposed to be a cheesy one, really absurd and even kind of comic. But, we were chasing 'real' events." - She shrugs as if it was all so ironic." - ...guess it's not so funny now. "
Mia suddenly sits up and points towards.. What seems to be nothing ahead on the road. But the headlights of the Mustang capture a plaque by the roadside, it isn't even reflecting anything.
-"There! There you turn right!"
And Drake is about to put his Mustang through maybe one of the shittiest little roads she's ever faced....

Drake looked at her and swallowed. Well, this would be a severe case of careful what you are wishing for from this girl. Either her searching for supernatural brought her to it... or in the worse scenario, she make it come to her. Maybe this whole mess was a really bad execution of actually keeping the Veil intact. Maybe they got something on tape that they shouldn't. Unfortunetelly... Even between the 'Warders of Men' have a huge body count of innocents if there is no other way to keep everything under wraps. Who knows what laws are in this God forgotten place... He will only be able to know for sure if he meets to the other side.
His thoughts were cut off by the sudden direction. He slowed the car down, for a moment not sure what she is pointing at before seeing the road.
"You are sure?" He looked at her, but didn't really question it, turning the Mustang at the bumpy road. He pressed some buttons close to the gear shift, which make the Mustang lift just slightly up, and run more smoothly... well... they may not feel too much of a difference, but the 4x4 driving will at least reduce the torture the suspension of the Mustang will suffer.

- “A hundred percent.” Mia actually smiles, satisfied with herself that she was able to find the way. So there’s at least one little win tonight. - “It is a bit bumpy from here on...”
Mia will search for the handle which is on normal vehicles, above the side window to hold for support. But surprisingly the Mustang drives the narrow, muddy and uneven road steadily enough and she eventually relaxes back on her spot, convinced that the seat belt should be fine. They’d be forced to proceed slowly though... It has been pouring, after all. And the wheels split little branches that scratch at the painting as they ride further and further into a messy and wild gloom.
- “... Our camping is just a bit ahead. We can refresh..... Eat something... Just, get our heads in order. And than we see It from there...?” She glances towards Drakes as she voices her plan with uncertainty, like she already knows that he will find it a idea terrible. Reason why she didn’t voice it before... It was really really terrible... They were still in the middle of that god forsaken forest, stuck on that hellish night. - “... Perhaps they made it back here...”

Drake slows down considerably. The Mustang may have the horse power and the suspension to traverse a road like that, but still it is a low car, not a off-road truck. "I thought we would hit a more... well.. out-of-the-woods area." Slow and steady tho, he drives the beast through.
"Sounds like a plan." He says simply trying to not kill the spark of hope that ignited in her. "But I would let the eating and anything that would take more time for a place away from the woods. I don't think you will be fully safe until then." He seemed back into more on-edge mood. Deep inside, he knew there is a possibility for this camp to not be in the condition she left it.

"Alright... I will be in and out, than..." Mia swallows, seeming to catch on Drake's mood. It was a good thing though, that he seemed to have at least some understanding of whatever the hell is going on. 'Its probably the scars of war, it makes people tough.' Mia have made a choice to trust Drake when she got into his Mustang, and she felt now on her intuition it was the right call. Even if Drake was somewhat misterious, she felt safer now than inside that stinky and packed truck... - "... You know a lot more than what you are telling me, don't you?"

Drake look at her for a longer moment, it was clear that he was considering if he should lie to her. He also consider going in a way of some kind of joke about how vague her question sounds.. but.. there was no point in deceiving or treating her like that now was it? He just decided to be honest. "Yes. But believe me. You wouldn't want to know more."
